Memorial Day Weekend

My weekend was spent back in the WB relaxing and soaking up the sun! My family grilled out and spent some much needed time on the lake. It was the first memorial day with my dad and Terri here, so we decided what better way to spend it than on the boat! Here are some highlights from the weekend~

1. Lunch with the fam. at my favorite cafe is a perfect way to start the weeknd.
2.. Having a 2.5 yr. old around the house is nothing but fun. She is the cutest and funniest little girl with a personality all her own! She brightens everyone's day by making all of us almost on our knees laughing so hard. What a unqiue girl!
3. Getting an unexpected push into the lake gives you a mouthful of lake water but it gets you in the water!
4. When in doubt when the oven breaks, don't fret just bake it on the grill...(and it still tasted amazing!)...I am always looking to try a new recipe being the Suzy Homemaker that I am, so I was not going to let my new Nectarine Tart go to waste just b/c the oven quit on us!
5. Beer-can chicken is the best chicken my dad has made!
6. Amelia calling me Gina consistenly, so eventually she ended up just calling me Dan-o b/c Danielle has too many syllables.
7. Laying on the boat sipping Corona is one of the closest things to paradise.
8. A surprise present from a good friend who went to Punta Cana made my day!
9. Finding out I really DO get 2 tickets to Jimmy Buffet in two weeks. Now I've got to accumulate all my leis together!
10. Visiting my grandma in Oconomowoc listening to her crazy stories about my sister and I growing up is a blessing. Where else would I get such insight to the crazy antics we did when we were little?
11. All in all it was a low-key weekend, but it's something you need once in a while after going out all the time. By the way- Thursday's in Milwaukee have become my favorite night. Lucille's and Buckhead definetley are places to be! Dancing the night away with my 3020 girls=it doesn't get much better...except when creepy old men hit on you with the line, "You're a good dancer; I'm from Richfield". I guess showing too much leg with my new shorts attracted the older men...better luck next time!
12. Ending Memorial Day sippin margaritas and chatting up with my girls was a perfect way to end the holiday weekend!

So I finally started my blog so you can read about my adventures + experiences...Enjoy*~ :)

The picture is of my first 4 roomates and I...we were all put together randomly freshman year in Suite 16. We now have 2 more roomates and I absolutley adore them and it's going to be an awesome summer living with all of them, (except Brooker...who went back home), but I can't wait! :)
