I Did It!

I survived my first ever Polar Plunge for Special Olympics! I raised over $300 for a good cause, accomplished something I've always wanted to do, and spent a wonderful day with a great group of people. The day started out with an excess of Starbucks, good music, and dancing to keep warm before the plunge. The LM kept us on our feet and shakin' prior to the plunge. As our time to take the plunge rolled around we got down to our plungin' attire and waited in the freeezin' cold until our team gathered together. So our Frozen LoveMonkeys team (all 6 of us), went hand in hand to plunge into Muskego Lake! It was amazing to see how people dressed to sport their craziness. It could have been a Jimmy Buffet concert with all the lais, grass skirts, and coconuts! The handsome Muskego firemen helped us out of the lake and we got to go in hot tubs after we exited the lake! Michelle, Jenni, and I were even on the news as we were questioned about our motives to plunge after we exited the lake! After the plunge it was time to start really partying with the LM at the post-plunge show! We danced for hours, Miller Lites in hand, and snagged a gift certificate to Tres Locos, a Mexican restaurant in Muskego! So we took some of the LM out to dinner...or the other way around...had a great time and then went to Matty's Bar and Grill (the sponsor of the event). It was one of the best days and glad I had the opportunity to help out a great cause!
