Summer Is Here!

Summer has arrived and I am enjoying being done with the semester. Finishing up with A's and B's, I was very satisfied with the work I had done! Now it is working full-time, spinning classes, biking on my new road bike, reading, hanging out with the girls during the week and spending quality time with the boyfriend. At first I was getting antsy with all the free-time I had on my hands, but once I got my routine of working out and reading every night, it has been nice. Actually being able to cook dinner every night, and have ME time is great. :)

It is nice being back home and doing simple things as making dinner, going for a hike, paddle boating, etc. with Brandon. I also like that we enjoy going out and have come to really enjoy the local smoke-free martini bar in West Bend, called Foz's. This past weekend was Riverplash of course to see The Love Monkeys and the Miller Lite Ride for the Arts. 4 hours of sleep and it was time to bike 25-miles with Jennifer and my sister. I was up for the challenge, seeing as though I don't normally bike long distances. Ended up being a beautiful ride with just enough hills. Saw a lot of Milwaukee's lakefront that I had never seen before, while catching up with Jennifer. I have started taking spinning classes, so I am excited about riding now on my new light-weight bike.

I have a list of summer goals, as always, that hopefully will all be checked off the list come September. I also recently decided to go to El Salvador for a Habitat for Humanity mission trip with my church. Very excited. I have started reading my new study Bible and has put a whole new light on my faith and the way I chose to live. I enjoy my conversations with Brandon about our faiths and God because it is a very important aspect in our lives and our relationship. I hope that we will continue to grow and learn more about each other. Fate has brought me to a very dynamic, compassionate, caring person, who has become very important to me. Brandon has been a blessing on my life and I am so grateful to have such a wonderful person to be in a relationship with. I am excited to accomplish my goals alongside him and enjoy the summertime :)
