2 Piano Bars, Road Trippin' & a Dog

It is almost May and I am so very excited for summer! The weather has been pretty wonderful as of lately and I updated my summer wardrobe after hitting the Mall of America with 5 girls over the weekend. The night before I left I double dated with one of my best friends to a piano bar in the Third Ward, followed by a drink at the hip bar Most. 2 hours of sleep and it was off to Minnesota at the early hours of the morning! 5 hours later it was time to shop til you drop! After 5 hours of almost non-stop shopping it was time for good eats and relaxin! The girls and I went out downtown Minneapolis after the scariest cab ride ever! It was fun spending time in a new city where we had no idea which was the cool place to be. 3 police officers pointed us in the right direction to a classy piano bar. The $8 cover was a bit much, but well worth it. A fun night of good music, good company, and great dancing was well worth it :) The weekend was topped off by Gina getting a surprise anniversary present from her boyfriend...drum roll please...her very own dog! I got the winning vote by naming it Cooper and her Mini. Sunday evening was spent relaxing on the deck with some of the most important people to me, and I got to spend some quality time with Brandon. It was the perfect ending to a *fabulous* weekend.

"Commit Random Kindness"

Food for thought...every day when I walk to work I pass this sticker on the bus stop near the Union...something along the lines: "Commit Random Acts of Kindess..." Every day I pass it, and every day the thought passes through my mind, what could I do for someone else today? It takes one person, one nice thing for someone else, one smile to make someone else's day.

On the morning haul to work on a Monday morning, I am normally dragging to get to my desk to guzzle down my coffee to wake me up. One morning, one of the janitors smiled at me and brightly said, "Good Morning!" It put a smile on my face, and things like that are infectious. What can you do for someone else?
