Bliss~

Finals are over. Grades are in. Winter break has begun and I'm smiling ear to ear. Spending the weekend with the BFF and the guys was def. much needed. It's good to go home and be back with the home-town group and feel like nothing has changed. I love going to "our" bar-where you know it's going to be fun, the music will be good, the drinks flowing, and the laughs continuous.

An unexpected trip to the Mineshaft at 12:30 a.m. with Janet was a highlight of the night. I love that we can pick up and just change plans-knowing it'll be fun. A date to one of my favorite East side restaurants and to see my favorite band was definetely a highlight of the weekend. Being swept off my feet on the dance floor with a very handsome man-has me smiling big.

Christmas Eve brought in family and the annual afternoon church service. The comfort of knowing all of the songs and the traditional cande lighting to one of my favorite songs-"Oh Holy Night"-brought tears to everyone in our family.

Christmas has come and gone, almost too quickly. But looking forward to New Year's and enjoying some free time, even though I'm itching to take a class to keep busy. The lure of some much-needed free time is tempting though.

Cheers, it's winter break :)

The Big 22 and Thanksgiving on the West Coast

My 22nd was enjoyed by 20 of my closest friends and I aboard a Johnson Bus to see my favorite band The LoveMonkeys at Rooters. It was definetley one of the best birthdays I had...not to mention I danced on stage, played the guitar, and had an all around awesome night with some of my BFF's.

The family and I treked to Laguna Beach, CA for the Thanksgiving holiday. Seeing the show Laguna Beach showed the city as very beautiful, and it was just as beautiful in person. Makes me want to live by the ocean. We also visited Newport Beach, LA, Santa Monica, and Venice Beach. Laguna was pretty-but definetley too ritzy for me. It is an awesome outlet for the arts, but unless I'm carrying a Louis Vuitton bag, driving a Mercedes and wearing UGG's...I don't think I belong there. Santa Monica is much more my flavor and wish we would have spent more time there.

Back to reality and that means finals! But first is 3020's annual Xmas party...and some quality 3020 time when we go ice skating downtown, our Secret Santa gift exchange, and just chill out before out party. Can't wait til winter break to be able to de-stress, do more beading, see my hometown friends, work more, and get on the beach in FL!

Until then-wish me luck on finals- and cheers!
